Dieter Wanke studied design and photography at Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, USA.

For more than a decade he has been following his passion, focusing on nature, wildlife and travel photography. One of his special areas is under water photography. Traveling to every continent and many different oceans with his cameras, he works for clients in different fields and has published numerous articles in newspapers, magazines and special interest media like Auto Motor und Sport, Berliner Tagesspiegel, Bild am Sonntag, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Natur Foto, Natur & Kosmos, Skipper, Unterwasser and many others. Among his clients are world-renowned companies like DaimlerChrysler or Michelin.

His photography of Albania was exhibited as the main attraction at the Albanian section at the World-Expo 2000 in Hannover, Germany. He has been invited to hold many lectures and seminars at a number of premium universities around the world and has been a jury member in many international competitions.

His extensive experience in working on complex assignments in different fields of photography and in all areas of the world, guarantee most professional results with constant quality. He is available to work on productions on land, in the air, and under water in any area of the world. He is also available for seminars and teaching assignments around the globe.

Trained in large format and film, including special under water cameras and flash systems, with the comfort to transition to all digital formats over the last ten years.
